Manager - Commercial Claims (Surveyor, Adjustor & Assessor)

Role Purpose

To manage and handle Commercial Claims across Property, Engineering, Marine, Liability and other commercial lines. The role involves coordinating with surveyors, loss assessors, adjusters, brokers, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely assessment, investigation, negotiation, and settlement of claims while maintaining service quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end processing of commercial insurance claims across various product lines.
• surveyors, loss assessors, investigators, and adjusters for claim assessment.
• Review survey reports, claim documents, reserve adequacy, and liability assessments.
• Analyze policy coverage, exclusions, and claim admissibility.
• Engage with brokers, corporates, and insured customers for claim resolution and negotiations.
• Monitor TATs and ensure timely settlement of claims.
• Identify potential fraud indicators and coordinate investigations where required.
• Track high-value and complex claims and provide regular updates to management.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal claim procedures.
• Drive customer satisfaction through effective communication and claim servicing.
• Prepare MIS, claim analytics, and management reports.
• Support litigation, arbitration, and recovery/subrogation activities where applicable.

Experience Requirements

• 6-10 years of experience in Commercial Claims handling.
• Experience in managing Property, Engineering, Marine, Liability, WC, or other Commercial Lines claims.
• Prior exposure to working with Surveyors, Loss Assessors, Adjusters, and Investigators.
• Experience in General Insurance industry preferred.
