    • Ensure compliance with applicable BIS/IS standards, approved mix designs, project specifications, and internal quality procedures.
    • Review and approve mix designs for various concrete grades and special concrete requirements.
    • Monitor concrete quality from raw material receipt through production, transportation, and placement.
    • Ensure adherence to quality control plans, inspection procedures, and testing frequencies.

    Raw Material Quality Management

    • Monitor the quality of cement, fly ash, GGBS, aggregates, manufactured sand, water, and chemical admixtures.
    • Ensure regular testing and approval of raw materials in accordance with applicable standards.
    • Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to resolve material quality issues.
    • Monitor variations in aggregate grading, moisture content, silt content, specific gravity, and other critical parameters.
    • Establish corrective actions for raw material variations affecting concrete performance.

    Plant-Wise Quality Monitoring

    • Conduct periodic quality audits and inspections at all RMC plants in the cluster.
    • Monitor slump, workability, compressive strength, water-cement ratio, batching accuracy, and concrete uniformity.
    • Review daily production quality reports, cube test results, rejection reports, and non-conformance reports.
    • Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of batching plants, weighing systems, moisture sensors, and laboratory equipment.
    • Standardize quality control practices and laboratory procedures across all plants.

    Mix Design and Cost Optimization

    • Develop, validate, and optimize concrete mix designs based on performance, material availability, and cost.
    • Monitor cementitious material consumption and identify opportunities for reducing concrete production costs without compromising quality.
    • Optimize the use of supplementary cementitious materials such as fly ash and GGBS, where technically suitable.
    • Analyze strength trends and establish appropriate target mean strengths.
    • Support the development of specialty concrete, including high-strength, self-compacting, pumpable, and other project-specific mixes.

    Customer and Project Coordination

    • Monitor plant-wise and grade-wise strength performance using statistical analysis and trend reports.
    • Investigate low-strength concrete, cube failures, rejected loads, and other quality deviations.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
    • Coordinate with accredited external laboratories and structural consultants when required.

    Team Management and Training

    • Promote a culture of quality ownership and continuous improvement.

    Documentation and Reporting

    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cluster quality reports.
    • Monitor KPIs such as strength achievement, rejection rates, customer complaints, material variability, and cost of quality.
    • Maintain records of raw material testing, mix designs, calibration, cube testing, audits, and non-conformances.
    • Ensure readiness for internal, customer, and external quality audits.
    • Submit quality performance reviews and improvement plans to management.

    Educational Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.
    • Diploma in Civil Engineering may be considered for suitable candidates with strong RMC quality control experience.
