The Manager - Civil is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end execution of a high-rise tower project, ensuring all aspects of construction are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and timeliness. This role requires strong on-ground management, close coordination with project management centres, contractors, and internal teams to resolve site issues efficiently. The manager will drive daily construction activities, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. The position demands proactive risk identification, effective material tracking, and diligent verification of contractor bills. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining project milestones and upholding the integrity of the construction process.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for driving day-to-day construction execution for civil, structural, finishing, and MEP work on the assigned tower.
- Prepare and track daily and weekly execution plans aligned to the project schedule.
- Monitor site progress and ensure milestone adherence, including slab cycles and finishing timelines.
- Coordinate with PMC, contractors, and internal teams to resolve site issues quickly.
- Ensure quality compliance as per drawings, minimising rework and defects.
- Enforce strict safety standards and ensure zero major incidents.
- Track material requirements and coordinate for timely availability.
- Verify and certify contractor bills based on actual progress.
- Maintain daily and weekly MIS reports and proactively highlight risks.
Education
- A BE in Civil is required.
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in construction management in Real Estate/Construction Industry.
Skills
- Proven working experience in construction management within the Real Estate or Construction Industry.
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
- Familiarity with construction management software packages.
- Ability to plan and see the big picture.
- Competence in conflict and crisis management.
- Leadership and human resources management skills.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
