Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager of Accounts with a strong background in the real estate or construction industry. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the company's financial health, managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring strict compliance with industry regulations (including RERA), overseeing project-level accounting, and providing actionable financial insights to the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting:

• Manage end-to-end accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and present accurate, timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports for senior management regarding project profitability and operational expenses.

Project & Real Estate Accounting

• Maintain accurate project-wise accounting, tracking budgets versus actual expenditures for all ongoing developments.
• Oversee contractor and vendor billing, ensuring accurate measurement, timely payments, and proper retention tracking.
• Manage revenue recognition processes specific to the real estate sector in accordance with current accounting standards.

Taxation & Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with all local and national tax regulations, including accurate and timely filing of GST, TDS, and Income Tax returns.
• Ensure strict adherence to RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Authority) guidelines, including the maintenance of separate RERA bank accounts and fund withdrawal compliance.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities to facilitate smooth statutory, internal, and tax audits.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

• Monitor daily cash flows, ensuring adequate liquidity for ongoing projects and operational needs.
• Assist in securing project financing and managing relationships with banks and financial institutions.
• Process loan drawdowns, manage debt servicing, and track interest capitalized to projects.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: CA (Chartered Accountant), CMA, or MBA in Finance / M. Com with a strong academic record.
• Experience: 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of [e.g., 3-5] years specifically within the real estate, property management, or construction industry.

• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with real estate ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Farvision, or advanced Tally Prime) and advanced MS Excel skills.

• Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of RERA compliance, GST, and real estate revenue recognition standards.

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to present complex financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
