Manager Accounts & Taxation

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Manager Accounts & Taxation to independently manage day-to-day accounting operations, statutory compliances, taxation, monthly closing, reconciliations and audit requirements.

The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of Accounting, GST, TDS and Income Tax, along with hands-on experience in managing accounts in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities and supervise the Accounts team.
• Take complete responsibility for GST and TDS compliance, including reconciliations, workings and timely filings.
• Prepare and monitor Advance Tax workings, calculations and payments.
• Handle monthly books closure and ensure all accounting entries are completed accurately and on time.
• Prepare and maintain Balance Sheet schedules and supporting documents.
• Ensure timely and accurate bank, debtor, creditor and ledger reconciliations.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and ensure proper accounting records.
• Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax auditors, consultants and other external professionals.
• Support annual accounts finalisation and ensure timely audit closure.
• Ensure books of accounts are accurate, complete, properly supported and audit-ready.
• Identify accounting and compliance issues and ensure timely corrective action.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, GST, TDS and Income Tax requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for statutory and internal requirements.
• Independently manage the accounting function with limited supervision.

Candidate Profile

• Manufacturing industry experience will be preferred.
• 12 years of relevant experience in Accounts & Taxation.
• Strong practical knowledge of Accounting, GST, TDS and Income Tax.
• Hands-on experience in monthly closing and Balance Sheet finalisation.
• Good working knowledge of Tally / ERP systems and MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, taxation workings and audit requirements.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Should be capable of independently managing the complete accounting function with limited supervision.
• Experience in managing and guiding a team will be an added advantage.
