Management Trainee

Role & responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the store.
• Learn and coordinate various departments, including grocery, fresh produce, FMCG,fashion, electronics, general merchandise, and customer service.
• Monitor product availability, shelf displays, stock replenishment, and merchandising standards.
• Assist with inventory management, stock audits, goods receiving, and store documentation.
• Support sales monitoring, promotional activities, and achievement of store targets.
• Ensure excellent customer service and handle customer queries and complaints professionally.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, warehouse teams, and internal departments.
• Monitor housekeeping, hygiene, safety, and operational standards.
• Learn billing operations, cash management procedures, and loss-prevention practices.
• Analyse daily sales reports, stock movement, and key operational performance indicators.
• Support staff coordination, team management, and workforce planning.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures, and applicable regulations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong interest in retail management and business operations.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
• Good analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
• Customer-focused attitude and a positive approach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays .

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to progress into roles such as Floor Manager, Assistant Store Manager, and Store Manager, based on performance and business requirements.
