We are looking for a Management Intern – Buyer who is passionate about business, fashion, retail and e-commerce. The intern will work closely with the buying and merchandising team and gain hands-on experience in product selection, vendor management, pricing, inventory planning and category management.

Job Description

As a Buyer Intern, you will help identify the right products, source brands and suppliers, and ensure that Baby Minutes offers a relevant and competitive product assortment.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Sourcing & SelectionResearch and identify new products, brands and suppliers across baby and kids categories.
• Assist in selecting products based on customer demand, market trends and pricing.
• Identify new opportunities to expand the product assortment.
• Vendor & Supplier ManagementIdentify and coordinate with manufacturers, distributors and suppliers.
• Assist in negotiating product prices, discounts and commercial terms.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and ensure timely product availability.
• Market Research & Trend AnalysisConduct market research on competitors, pricing and emerging trends in baby and kids products.
• Track popular products and identify opportunities for new categories.
• Analyse competitor assortments and pricing strategies.
• Pricing & MerchandisingAssist in product pricing, margin calculations and promotional planning.
• Help maintain competitive pricing across product categories.
• Work on product assortment planning and category performance.
• Inventory & Sales AnalysisMonitor product availability and stock levels.
• Analyse sales data to identify fast-moving and slow-moving products.
• Assist in inventory planning and replenishment decisions.
• Business OperationsCoordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth product onboarding.
• Maintain product and vendor databases.
• Support the buying team in day-to-day activities and business projects.

Eligibility & Requirements

• MBA students specializing in Marketing, Finance, Operations, Retail Management or Supply Chain Management are preferred.
• BBA, B.Com and other undergraduate students with an interest in retail and e-commerce are also welcome to apply.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel or Google Sheets.
• Interest in fashion, retail, e-commerce and consumer behaviour.
• Strong negotiation, research and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and willing to take ownership of tasks.
