Management Accountant / Odoo Functional Expert

The Role

This is not a traditional accounting position.

We are looking for a finance professional who combines strong accounting and management reporting skills with hands-on Odoo functional expertise. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving financial visibility, internal controls, reporting, inventory management processes, and ERP performance across the business.

The ideal candidate understands both accounting principles and how business processes are configured and managed within Odoo.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Management Accounting

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Analyse profitability by product category, customer segment, branch, and project.
• Monitor margins, inventory performance, and working capital.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Support external auditors and statutory reporting requirements.
• Develop financial KPIs and management dashboards.
• Monitor stock valuation, costing, and inventory controls.

Odoo ERP Management & Optimization

• Act as the internal Odoo functional expert.
• Review and improve business processes across Finance, Inventory, Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Projects.
• Configure and optimize Odoo workflows and reporting.
• Support users and provide training across departments.
• Liaise with external Odoo consultants and developers when required.
• Participate in ERP improvement projects and new module implementations.
• Design and improve internal controls using Odoo.
• Create custom reports, dashboards, and business intelligence tools.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Accounting, or equivalent.
• ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in management accounting or financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of inventory-based businesses.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Essential Odoo Requirements

Applicants must have strong hands-on Odoo experience.

Preference will be given to candidates who:

• Have acted as an Odoo Functional Consultant or Key User.
• Have implemented or participated in Odoo ERP projects.
• Have strong knowledge of:
• Accounting
• Inventory
• Sales
• Purchasing
• Manufacturing
• Projects
• Can analyse business processes and propose system improvements.
• Understand Odoo reporting, workflows, user permissions, and configuration.
