About this role
- Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of factory machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Attend machine breakdowns and restore equipment within the minimum possible downtime.
- Perform regular inspection of motors, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, conveyors, bearings, belts, chains, and mechanical assemblies.
- Troubleshoot basic electrical panels, sensors, switches, contactors, relays, and control circuits.
- Handle maintenance of CNC/VMC machines, laser cutting machines, press brakes, welding machines, powder-coating equipment, compressors, and other production machinery, as applicable.
- Carry out lubrication, alignment, tightening, replacement, and adjustment of machine components.
- Identify recurring machine problems and implement root-cause corrective actions.
- Support installation, commissioning, shifting, and modification of new/existing machinery.
- Maintain adequate spares, tools, consumables, and maintenance equipment.
- Coordinate with external service engineers and vendors for specialized equipment maintenance.
- Maintain maintenance logs, breakdown reports, PM checklists, and machine history records.
- Ensure preventive maintenance activities are completed as per the maintenance schedule.
- Monitor machine condition and highlight potential failures before breakdown occurs.
- Follow LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), PPE, electrical safety, and factory safety procedures.
- Maintain good housekeeping and follow 5S practices in the maintenance area.
- Support production teams during machine-related issues and minimize machine downtime and production loss.
- Participate in continuous improvement and maintenance cost-reduction initiatives.
- Ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely and without compromising machine or employee safety.
