KLH University invites applications from experienced and responsible professionals for the position of Maintenance Manager at its Aziz Nagar Campus. The selected candidate will be responsible for the efficient maintenance and smooth functioning of campus infrastructure, buildings, utilities, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance of campus buildings, classrooms, laboratories, offices, hostels, and common areas, as applicable.
• Manage electrical, plumbing, civil, HVAC, carpentry, and other facility maintenance activities.
• Ensure the proper functioning of electrical systems, generators, UPS, water supply, drainage, and other essential utilities.
• Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Supervise maintenance technicians, electricians, plumbers, housekeeping support staff, and external contractors.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for repairs, servicing, and maintenance contracts.
• Monitor maintenance expenses, prepare budgets, and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.
• Conduct regular campus inspections to identify maintenance issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, fire safety requirements, and statutory regulations.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment servicing, work orders, and inventory.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requirements and minimize disruption to academic activities.
• Coordinate with the Administration, Engineering, and other departments to ensure smooth campus operations.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of building maintenance and facility management.
• Practical understanding of electrical, mechanical, civil, and plumbing systems.
• Experience in managing maintenance teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Good planning, budgeting, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, coordination, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple maintenance activities and prioritize urgent issues.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and preventive maintenance practices.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in maintenance or facility management.
• Experience in a university, educational institution, hospital, corporate office, or large commercial facility is preferred.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in managing large buildings and campus infrastructure will be preferred.
