Maintenance Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance for wiring harness production machines and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical issues in machines.
• Maintain and repair:
• Applicators
• Wire cutting & stripping machines
• Crimping machines
• Ultrasonic welding machines
• Continuity testing machines
• Compressor systems
• Conveyor systems
• Ensure machine uptime and reduce production downtime.
• Conduct daily machine inspection and maintain maintenance checklists.
• Coordinate with production and quality teams for machine-related issues.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement requirements.
• Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new machines/equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, TPM, 5S, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Maintain maintenance records, breakdown analysis, and root cause analysis reports.
• Monitor utilities such as power supply, air compressors, DG sets, and HVAC systems.
• Train operators on basic machine handling and autonomous maintenance activities.

Required Skills

• Knowledge & experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance from any Qualification.
• Understanding of PLC basics, sensors, relays, pneumatic systems, and industrial automation.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and machine manuals.
• Hands-on troubleshooting capability.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and breakdown analysis.
• Familiarity with TPM, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
