Maintenance Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment, machines, and utilities.
• Troubleshoot and maintain Transformers, DG Sets, EOT Cranes, welding machines, hand tools, SPMs, pumps, ETP/STP, and other plant equipment.
• Handle and troubleshoot MCC, APFC, PLC panels, electrical protection systems, motors, and pumps.
• Perform PLC panel cabling, testing, troubleshooting, and basic PLC system maintenance.
• Carry out cable sizing, system cabling, testing, and electrical equipment troubleshooting.
• Inspect and troubleshoot instruments such as temperature sensors, pressure transmitters, flow meters, and other instrumentation.
• Manage electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation spares/components and coordinate for timely availability.
• Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and service providers for maintenance activities.
• Independently manage day-to-day maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability and minimum downtime.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems, electrical & mechanical maintenance, and industrial equipment.
• Hands-on experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of MCC, APFC, PLC panels, protection systems, cable sizing, cabling, and testing.
• Basic knowledge of PLC systems and industrial instrumentation.
• Experience in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation components/spares.
• Good problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage day-to-day maintenance activities.
