Maintenance Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of construction equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues.
• Handle maintenance of equipment such as JCB, excavators, cranes, DG sets, compressors, generators, and other heavy machinery.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential failures before major breakdowns occur.
• Maintain proper records of equipment maintenance, breakdowns, repairs, spare parts, and service history.
• Coordinate with technicians, operators, vendors, and site/project teams for timely maintenance and repairs.
• Manage availability and requirements of spare parts, tools, and consumables.
• Ensure maintenance activities are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Supervise maintenance staff and allocate daily maintenance activities.
• Prepare regular maintenance reports and update management regarding equipment condition and major repair requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Construction,Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with relevant experience in construction equipment or heavy machinery maintenance. Strong troubleshooting, team management, communication, and problem-solving skills are required. Willingness to work at project/site locations is essential.
