Maintenance Engineer - Electrical - Fiji Island

Job Responsibilities :

• Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems and equipment to minimize plant/mill downtime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults, PLCs, electrical drives, motors, control panels and related systems.
• Monitor and reduce electrical downtime and ensure smooth operation of the production/milling plant.
• Ensure availability and proper inventory of critical electrical spare parts.
• Supervise, guide and coordinate the electrical maintenance team/electricians.
• Maintain and follow CMMS-based maintenance schedules and records.
• Support plant electrical projects and production-efficiency improvement initiatives.
• Manage electrical building services including lighting, ventilation and other electrical utilities.
• Prepare maintenance reports, analyze electrical issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with spare-parts suppliers for electrical equipment and materials.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety, occupational health & safety and company procedures.
• Work closely with production and other departments to identify plant issues and implement effective solutions.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience independently managing an Electrical Maintenance Department
• Experience in a continuous food processing / milling / manufacturing industry preferred
• Strong knowledge of PLC, electrical drives, motors, troubleshooting and engineering drawings
