Mainframes Developer

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe DB2 and SQL Server Developer / Development Lead with strong hands-on expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and Microsoft SQL Server. The ideal candidate will have experience in enterprise application development, database design, stored procedures, performance tuning, and AI-driven development tools such as GitHub Copilot. The role involves developing and maintaining applications supporting Wealth Management and Alternative Investments, including investor qualification, digital document processing, order management, and investment transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Mainframe COBOL, JCL, DB2, and SQL Server.
• Develop database objects, stored procedures, complex SQL queries, and data models.
• Perform SQL query optimisation, database performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Manage large-volume databases and ensure data integrity and application performance.
• Understand business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
• Take ownership of application modules, development, testing, and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, QA teams, and global stakeholders.
• Follow coding standards, source control practices, and CI/CD processes.
• Leverage GitHub Copilot or equivalent AI tools for AI-assisted coding, debugging, testing, and development productivity.
