Mainframe Testing Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Test Engineer with strong expertise in Mainframe Testing, COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, batch testing, and end-to-end validation of mainframe applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Functional, System, Integration, Regression, and UAT testing for Mainframe applications.
• Execute and validate batch jobs using JCL.
• Analyze and validate data using DB2, VSAM, and SQL queries.
• Review business requirements and prepare test cases and test scenarios.
• Perform end-to-end testing of Mainframe applications and interfaces.
• Track, report, and verify defects using defect management tools.
• Coordinate with development and business teams during release cycles.
• Ensure test coverage and quality standards are met.
• Support production validation and release testing activities.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 3-9 years of Mainframe Testing experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
• Experience in Batch Testing and Mainframe Application Testing.
• Good understanding of VSAM, File-Aid, Endevor, and Changeman.
• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or Healthcare domains preferred.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum projects.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
