Mainframe Storage Administrator

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage mainframe storage resources, including DASD, SMS, HSM, IDCAMS, and DFHSM.
  
• Ensure efficient use of storage capacity through effective allocation and optimization techniques.
  
• Perform regular monitoring and maintenance tasks to ensure high availability of storage systems.
  
• Troubleshoot issues related to storage performance, data integrity, and system failures.
  
• Collaborate with other teams to resolve complex technical problems.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 8-12 years of experience in mainframe storage administration with expertise in z/OS Storage Management (DASD,SMS,HSM).
  
• Strong knowledge of DFSMSdss (Data Facility Sharing Manager) for managing shared disk space.
  
• Proficiency in DFHSM (Data Facility High-Speed System Manager) for managing high-speed storage devices.
  
• Experience with storage replication technologies such as IDCAMS (Integrated Data Catalog Access Manager).
  
• Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to work independently.
