Mainframe Modernisation Architect

Must-Have

• 12+ years of IT experience
• 10+ years of experience with IBM Mainframe technologies such as COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2 and VSAM
• Experience with assessment of mainframe applications and databases to formulate plans for migrating it to cloud.
• Well versed with different tools and methodologies used to migrate mainframe workloads.
• Broad understanding and knowledge across multiple technical domains including Front-end Architecture, Services Architecture, Integration/Middleware Architecture, Security Architecture, Data Architecture etc.

Good-to-Have

• Experience with Re-Platform Portability Assessment using Rocket Enterprise Analyzer
• Experience with architecting & delivering end-to-end solutions using Rocket Software (erstwhile known as Micro Focus)
• Experience in: Microservices, Containerization and APIfication
• 5+ years of experience with any other RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle or PostgreSQL)
• Experience in migrating IBM DB2 zOS data to other Relational DB like SQL Server, Oracle or PostgreSQL
• Broad understanding and knowledge across multiple DB domains including Data Modeling, Data Architecture, Integration/Middleware Architecture, Data Security etc.
• Knowledge about CDC concepts and experience with CDC implementations
