Role Summary:
Provide Level 2 mainframe production support, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure efficient and stable application operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and handle escalated incidents and technical queries.
What Youll Do:
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex mainframe production issues to minimize downtime
- Provide technical support and implement fixes for application problems
- Manage incident communication and updates to users
- Optimize performance and monitor application health
- Create and maintain documentation for supported applications
- Work with cross-functional teams to proactively address support issues
- Handle escalated issues from Level 1 support
- Coordinate or perform hardware repairs and software installations
- Address configuration and break/fix issues
What We re Looking For (Must-Haves):
- Experience with COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2 for application support
- Proficiency in FileAid, FileManager, FileMaster for file management
- Familiarity with Changeman, Endevor for package management and deployment
- Knowledge of SAR for job viewing and SFTP for secure file transfer
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
