Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL programming language.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and implement solutions.
- Troubleshoot issues related to CICS transactions and resolve them efficiently.
- Develop JCL jobs for data processing on mainframes (AS400) and perform testing as needed.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables by adhering to coding standards and best practices.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 4-8 years of experience in mainframe development with expertise in COBOL programming language.
- Strong understanding of AS400 systems, including CICS transactions and VSAM files.
- Proficiency in developing JCL jobs for batch processing on mainframes.
- Experience working with IBM iSeries platforms or similar technologies preferred.
