Mainframe Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
• Analyze business requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Perform coding, testing, debugging, and production support activities.
• Work on batch and online transaction processing systems.
• Conduct impact analysis, code reviews, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams for application enhancements and releases.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
• Good knowledge of VSAM and Mainframe utilities.
• Experience in production support, incident resolution, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of SDLC, change management, and deployment processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance domain experience.
• Exposure to IMS, MQ Series, Endevor/Changeman.
• Experience with Mainframe modernization and API integration initiatives.
