Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Developer with expertise in Mainframe technologies, specifically Cobol, DB2, JCL, MQ, and CICS. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in software development, focusing on delivering high-quality solutions that meet our clients' needs. As a Delivery Module Lead, you will be responsible for leading development efforts, ensuring adherence to best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Cobol, DB2, JCL, MQ, and CICS.
• Lead the development team in implementing software solutions that align with business requirements.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Ensure the quality of deliverables through rigorous testing and validation processes.
• Monitor and optimize application performance, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Document technical specifications, processes, and procedures for future reference.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to enhance development processes.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proficiency in DB2 is a deal breaker for this role.
• Strong experience in Cobol programming.
• Hands-on experience with JCL for job control and execution.
• Familiarity with MQ for messaging and integration.
• Experience with CICS for transaction processing.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization of mainframe applications.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in mainframe technologies are a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new technologies.
