Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL to design, develop, and support mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in mainframe technologies within banking/financial services environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical design
• Perform coding, unit testing, and debugging of mainframe applications
• Work on batch processing using JCL and ensure smooth job execution
• Develop and optimize DB2 queries and stored procedures
• Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis
• Participate in system integration testing (SIT) and UAT support
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, Dev, Business Analysts)
• Ensure code quality, follow coding standards, and adhere to SDLC processes

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in:
• COBOL programming
• CICS (Customer Information Control System)
• DB2 (Database design & SQL queries)
• JCL (Job Control Language)
• Experience in mainframe development and support
• Knowledge of batch and online processing systems
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Experience with version control and deployment tools
