Mainframe Developer

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, test, and maintain complex COBOL programs for mainframe systems using VSAM and CICS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and implement solutions that meet customer needs.
• Troubleshoot issues related to program execution, data processing, and system performance on IBM mainframes.
• Develop technical documentation for code changes, testing procedures, and maintenance activities.

Job Requirements :

• 5-8 years of experience in developing COBOL applications for mainframes (IBM System z).
• Strong knowledge of JCL (Job Control Language) for job scheduling and resource management.
• Proficiency in writing efficient Cobol code using various programming constructs such as IF-THEN statements, DO loops, etc.
