Machine Shop Supervisor Engineer

Sungov Engineering Private Limited, a leading manufacturer of process equipment serving 35+ countries in oil & gas, petrochemical, and power sectors, is looking for a Machine Shop Supervisor/Engineer to manage both subcontract and in-house machining operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, and monitor machining jobs across in-house shop floor and subcontract vendors
• Coordinate with subcontract machine shops on job allocation, quality, and delivery timelines
• Review drawings/specs and ensure machining conformance to tolerances and material standards
• Track machine utilization, capacity, and job progress; escalate delays proactively
• Liaise with Order Management, QC, and Procurement for smooth job flow
• Maintain machining documentation, job cards, and inspection records as applicable

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering
• 5-10 years in a machine shop environment, with exposure to both subcontract vendor management and in-house CNC/conventional machining
• Working knowledge of GD&T, machining processes (turning, milling, boring, drilling)
• Experience in heavy engineering/process equipment industry preferred
• Strong coordination and vendor management skills
