Machine Maintenance Electrician

Role & responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance of CNC/VMC machines and other industrial machinery.

• Troubleshoot electrical faults in machine control panels, motors, drives, sensors, switches and wiring circuits.
• Diagnose machine breakdowns and carry out corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Inspect and maintain electrical components, control systems and machine safety circuits.
• Support maintenance of servo motors, spindle motors, VFDs and PLC-based systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance as per the maintenance schedule.
• Assist with machine installation, electrical testing, commissioning and repairs.
• Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports and preventive maintenance checklists.
• Coordinate with production and mechanical maintenance teams to resolve machine issues.
• Follow electrical safety procedures and industrial maintenance standards.

Mandatory Skills

• Hands-on experience in CNC or VMC machine electrical maintenance.
• Experience in preventive and/or corrective maintenance.
• Electrical troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical panels, motors, sensors, switches and industrial wiring.
• Basic understanding of PLCs, VFDs, servo drives and machine control systems.
• Ability to identify faults and restore machine operation safely.
