Machine Development Application Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Machine Development Application Engineer Software to develop, integrate, test, and commission software for automated machines and industrial manufacturing systems.

The candidate will work on PLC programming, HMI development, motion control, machine sequencing, and industrial automation systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement PLC, HMI, SCADA, and motion control software.
• Design machine control architecture and automation sequences.
• Integrate PLCs with servo drives, VFDs, robots, vision systems, and field devices.
• Develop HMI screens for machine operation, diagnostics, and production monitoring.
• Perform debugging, machine simulation, FAT, SAT, and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot software, communication, and control system issues.
• Optimize machine cycle time, reliability, and performance.
• Prepare technical documentation, I/O lists, alarm lists, and operating manuals.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and application engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.
• 8 - 12 years of experience in industrial automation or machine software development.

Required Skills

• PLC Programming: Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block Diagram.
• HMI development and SCADA.
• Motion control and servo systems.
• Industrial networking and communication protocols.
• Machine sequencing and troubleshooting.
• Industrial PC applications and machine diagnostics.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC, Beckhoff TwinCAT, Rockwell Studio 5000, Mitsubishi GX Works, Omron Sysmac Studio, or CODESYS.
• Programming languages: C/C++, C#, Python, or SQL.
• Robotics integration and machine vision systems.
• OPC UA, MQTT, MES/SCADA connectivity, and Industry 4.0.
