Product Manager - General Insurance

Role Purpose: Drive business growth and performance of General Insurance products through product analysis, MIS reporting, portfolio monitoring, and data-driven insights. Support product strategy, sales performance tracking, and process improvements across channels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze General Insurance product performance, sales trends, revenue, and profitability.
• Prepare and maintain MIS reports, dashboards, and trackers using advanced Excel.
• Monitor product KPIs and identify opportunities for business growth and optimization.
• Conduct portfolio analysis, customer segmentation, and market benchmarking.
• Support product launches, campaigns, and business initiatives through data analysis.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, insurers, and sales teams for performance reviews.
• Track business targets, productivity, and channel-wise performance.
• Ensure data accuracy, reporting governance, and compliance requirements.

Desired Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, Dashboards).
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret large datasets and generate actionable insights.
• Experience in MIS reporting, business analytics, and performance management.
• Good understanding of General Insurance products and distribution models.
• Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills.

Preferred Experience:

• 3-8 years in Product Management, Business Analytics, MIS, or Insurance domain.
• Banking, Insurance, Bancassurance, or Financial Services experience preferred.
