Looker Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Looker Developer with experience in Business Intelligence, data visualization, and analytics reporting. The ideal candidate should have hands-on exposure to Looker development, strong SQL skills, and experience working with modern data platforms such as Snowflake. The role involves developing dashboards, creating data models, and supporting business stakeholders with actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Looker.
• Build and manage Look ML models, Views, Explores, Looks, and Dashboards.
• Assist in designing semantic layers and data models based on business requirements.
• Work with Snowflake and optimize queries for reporting and analytics workloads.
• Collaborate with business users, analysts, and data engineers to understand reporting requirements.
• Develop reusable metrics and reporting assets to ensure consistency across dashboards.
• Support dashboard testing, troubleshooting, enhancements, and production support activities.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and adherence to data governance standards.
• Follow established Looker development best practices and coding standards.

Required Skills

• 2 to 4 years of overall BI/Analytics development experience.
• 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in Looker development.
• Experience in developing dashboards, Looks, Explores, and Look ML models.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases.
• Experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses.
• Good understanding of data modeling concepts and BI reporting.
• Familiarity with dashboard optimization and performance tuning.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-based analytics ecosystems.
• Exposure to ETL/ELT concepts and data warehousing methodologies.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization platforms.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

• Looker or Snowflake certifications.
• Exposure to dashboard migration projects from Tableau or other BI tools to Looker.
• Basic understanding of data governance and security concepts.
