Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Work in a cross-functional team as a Reliability Engineering expert for a product or product area.
• Apply Reliability Engineering practices with support from SRE governance teams.
• Build and maintain Looker semantic models using LookML.
• Develop and optimize aggregate awareness, PDTs (Persistent Derived Tables), and derived tables with BigQuery.
• Manage access grants, roles, and security configurations within Looker.
• Design, develop, and maintain Looker dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Implement automated testing and CI/CD practices for Looker development.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve operational excellence and best practices.
• Perform technical analysis and troubleshoot production incidents and complex issues.
• Improve monitoring and system performance through preventive measures.
• Automate development and production support activities using scripting and automation tools.
• Build and maintain CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions.
• Support and maintain applications across desktop and mobile platforms.
• Work with cloud-based infrastructure environments such as Azure and GCP.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in Looker development.
• Strong expertise in LookML, Core LookML, Aggregate Awareness, PDTs, and Derived Tables.
• Hands-on experience with BigQuery.
• Strong knowledge of Access Grants, Roles, and Data Governance within Looker.
• Experience in Looker dashboard development and optimization.
• Knowledge of CI/CD implementation and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with API-based frameworks.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in Azure and/or GCP environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience with other reporting and BI tools.
• Knowledge of ReactJS, React Native, and NodeJS.
• Experience with Azure DevOps.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Passion for learning new technologies and implementing innovative solutions.
