Logistics Supervisor

Key responsibilities

Supervise staff: Assign tasks, manage schedules, train employees, and monitor performance.

Coordinate shipments: Plan receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and deliveries.

Manage inventory: Track stock levels, investigate discrepancies, and support accurate records.

Oversee transport: Coordinate drivers, carriers, routes, and delivery schedules.

Monitor performance: Track costs, delivery times, order accuracy, and productivity; address delays or issues.

Ensure safety and compliance: Enforce workplace procedures and follow relevant transport, customs, and safety requirements.

Maintain records: Prepare reports and keep accurate shipping, inventory, and operational documentation.

Resolve problems: Handle damaged or missing goods, customer concerns, equipment issues, and supply disruptions.

Improve processes: Identify ways to reduce costs, prevent errors, and improve service.
