About
Cornext, a national award-winning agritech company, can be credited with introducing the innovative technology of baled silage as a solution to the fodder shortage in the country. As a pioneer in the emerging fodder industry, Cornext has revolutionized feeding solutions for many livestock farmers through its ingeniously developed and patented silage technology, suitable for the conditions of the Indian dairy sector. The Mini Silage Baler and Micro Silage Baler developed by Cornext are the most cost-effective silage balers in the world, and the first in India. Cornext aims to not only address the fodder shortage but also improve animal nutrition and feed costs, making dairy farming economically viable.
As part of its initial efforts, Cornext successfully implemented a baled silage project under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) with the Government of Andhra Pradesh between 2015-19 and quickly realized the importance of decentralized production to reduce logistics costs while ensuring access for marginal farmers, a key component of the Indian dairy farming community. Cornext's mini silage balers, which cost less than one-tenth of a European baler, allowed Cornext to build an ecosystem of rural fodder entrepreneurs with over 500 baling units to date.
Additionally, Cornext is the only company in India that not only manufactures machinery but also produces baled silage using its own machinery, enabling an active research and development and testing process. Having supplied millions of tons of silage to numerous institutions and dairy farms, Cornext has become India's leading supplier of baled silage.
Some of Cornext's clients include Milma (Kerala), Amul, Banas and Sumul Dairy (Gujarat), KMF (Karnataka), Sanchi (Madhya Pradesh), Godrej Maximilk, Animal Husbandry Departments (AHDs) of Andhra Pradesh, UP, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Assam and several other government bodies. Cornext's exports extend to over 25 countries in Asia, Africa and South America.
