URGENT HIRING - LOCUM OPTOMETRIST
Location: MIDC, Andheri, Mumbai, Maharashtra
Position: Locum Optometrist - Eye Screening Camps
Duty Schedule
- Timing: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Frequency: 2-3 days per week
- Employment Type: Part-Time / Locum Duty
Experience Required
- 3-4 years of clinical experience
- Experience in clinical optometry, eye screening camps or community eye care preferred.
Qualification
- B.Optom / M.Optom / Diploma in Optometry from a recognized institution.
- Valid professional registration, where applicable.
- Mumbai residence is mandatory.
Role Summary
The Optometrist will conduct vision screening and refraction services at eye camps, identify patients requiring further evaluation and ensure appropriate referral to an Ophthalmologist.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct visual acuity testing and refraction.
- Assess patients and prescribe spectacles as appropriate.
- Perform preliminary eye examinations and screen for common eye conditions.
- Identify patients requiring specialist evaluation and refer them to an Ophthalmologist.
- Maintain accurate patient records and screening data.
- Ensure proper use and upkeep of optometry equipment.
- Support eye health education and awareness activities.
- Follow clinical protocols, infection control and patient safety standards.
Candidate Profile
- Strong clinical and refraction skills.
- Experience in eye screening camps and field-based activities.
- Good communication and patient-handling skills.
- Ability to work independently in a camp setting.
- Must be currently residing in Mumbai and available 2-3 days per week.
Daily Professional Fees: Negotiable, based on experience.
