LMS Administrator & Content Operations Specialist

Job Role Description

The LMS Administrator & Content Operations Specialist is responsible for the smooth operation of the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure stable and efficient delivery of all learning services. This includes both technical administration of the system and operational support for end users and business stakeholders.

Role & responsibilities

• Owns the administration, configuration, and day-to-day operation of the LMS, ensuring stable service delivery and timely resolution of technical issues.
• Provides user and technical support, including login and access troubleshooting, course enrolment support, SCORM content upload and testing, and interface monitoring.
• Manages user accounts, roles, and permissions; creates and maintains courses, learning paths, and metadata; oversees version control and content archiving; and performs pre-go-live quality assurance and testing.
• Continuously improves and optimises the LMS by enhancing system configuration, settings, processes, and overall platform performance in cooperation with the provider
• Monitors course completion rates, produces KPI and operational reports, performs regular data quality checks, and develops and maintains Power BI dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
• Monitors and supports HR-to-LMS data integrations, ensuring accurate employee data synchronisation, investigating interface issues, and maintaining data integrity across systems.

Preferred candidate profile

• Hands-on experience with Learning Management System (LMS) administration, configuration, and maintenance
• Strong understanding of LMS user management, roles and permissions, course creation, enrolments, learning paths, and metadata management
• Experience with SCORM content management, content uploads, testing, version control, and archiving.
• Knowledge of LMS integrations and interfaces (e.g. HRIS, APIs, SFTP, CSV imports/exports) with the ability to monitor and troubleshoot data synchronisation issues.
• Experience performing system testing, quality assurance, and issue resolution to ensure stable platform performance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including dashboard development, KPI reporting, and data visualisation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and data validation.
• Strong understanding of data quality management and data governance principles.
• Ability to analyse system issues, identify root causes, and coordinate technical resolutions
• Familiarity with ticketing or service management tools (e.g. Jira, ServiceNow).

Experience & Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of LMS administration, configuration, and learning content standards (e.g. SCORM).
• Knowledge of Power BI, data analysis, and KPI reporting.
• Understanding of HRIS/LMS integrations, data management, and system interfaces.
• Familiarity with IT service management processes and troubleshooting best practices.
• Knowledge of learning operations and digital learning processes is an advantage.
