About this role
We are seeking to join our team to assist the LIFC (Treasury Controller) team a role in the Intercompany Controller team. In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis, and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is a Director level position within our Risk, Assurance, Governance & Control Job Family which provides oversight and monitoring of operational risk or third party/outsourcing for the global Finance division, validation and testing of financial and regulatory reports and reinforcement of regulatory requirements, policies and procedures. Global Corporate Controllers is responsible for the financial and regulatory reporting of the consolidated Firm and its legal entities, liquidity and funding control, accounting, and regulatory policy and advisory, controllership of the Firm's infrastructure areas and management the Finance risk and change programs. The Intercompany Controllers team is responsible for controlling both the Treasury departments unsecured funding of the Firm's Legal Entities and intercompany transactions that arise through non-trading and non-funding related activities e.g., transfer pricing. The team performs a range of functions including daily reporting of unsecured funding loan balances, monthly substantiation of interest P&L and balance sheet and facilitating the settlement of intercompany balances. The team is also engaged in project and process improvement work in addition to ad hoc requests from the Corporate Treasury desk and other Controller groups. In this regard the team interacts with Operations, IT, Tax, Legal Entity Controllers, Corporate Treasury and Treasury Controllers colleagues globally. What you'll do in the role: Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm Responsible for and lead a significant set of deliverables, leveraging advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment Proactively identify emerging risks in individual and department work and contribute to strategies for mitigating them Act as a role model and culture carrier; Embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards Team management to ensure deliverables are completed on a timely basis Review, validation, and submission of daily unsecured funding loan balance reporting Review, validation and sign-off of daily currency hedging Preparation of weekly analytics and governance review dashboard Escalation to Intercompany Management of significant issues and proposed resolutions Monthly / Quarterly Responsibilities: Review month end journals Review monthly intercompany settlements ahead of processing Review of various monthly and quarterly reports Review month end substantiation to ensure adequacy in cadency system for applicable Net Revenue and Balance Sheet Accounts Preparation of month end analytics and governance review packs
Project/Ad hoc Responsibilities: Support for key renovation work and other initiatives to enhance processes and workflows Interaction with Corporate Treasury, Operations, IT, and other key finance groups; frequent interaction with global Treasury Capital Markets controller teams as needed.
