About this role
- Linux System Administration
- Administer and support Red Hat, CentOS, and Ubuntu Linux systems.
- Perform system installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
- Monitor system health and troubleshoot OS-level issues.
- Automation Configuration Management
- Automate system configuration and operational tasks using Ansible.
- Manage code repositories and automation workflows using GitLab.
- Develop and maintain scripts using Bash and Python to improve operational efficiency.
- Identity Access Management
- Manage IPA/IdM for user authentication and authorization.
- Handle SSH key management, password resets, and access provisioning.
- Ensure adherence to security and access control standards.
- Security Compliance Support
- Support basic security operations using tools such as Palo Alto Cortex, Tripwire, or similar.
- Assist with vulnerability remediation, audits, and compliance activities.
- Incident, Change Support Operations
- Follow ITIL processes for Incident, Change, and Request Management.
- Provide shift-based and on-call support for production systems.
- Document incidents, changes, and operational procedures.
- Operating Systems: Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu
- Automation Tools: Ansible, GitLab
- Scripting: Bash, Python
- Identity Management: IPA/IdM, SSH key management
- Security (Basic): Palo Alto Cortex, Tripwire
- Process Framework: ITIL (Incident, Change, Request Management)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities
- Clear communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Willingness to work in shifts and on-call rotations
- Ownership and accountability
- 3-6 years of experience in Linux system administration or engineering
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Hands-on experience with Linux automation and configuration management
- ITIL knowledge or certification is an added advantage
