Linux Support Engineer / Kubernetes Administrator

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support Kubernetes clusters, including deployment, configuration, monitoring, and issue resolution.
• Analyze and troubleshoot system performance, resource utilization, and bottlenecks across compute and container platforms.
• Perform hardware installation, replacement, and basic hardware troubleshooting when required.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate operational tasks, monitoring, and routine system administration activities.
• Work closely with infrastructure, application, and platform engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge articles.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• 46 years of experience in Linux system administration.
• Strong experience with Ubuntu Linux and solid understanding of Linux fundamentals, including process management, memory management, filesystems, networking, system services, user administration, and the Linux boot process. Hands-on experience administering Kubernetes clusters.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for Linux OS and Kubernetes environments.
• Good working knowledge of Python for scripting and automation.
• Exposure to hardware installation, component replacement, and basic server hardware troubleshooting.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools is an advantage.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
• Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS)
