Role: Linux AIX Admin

Experience Range: 5 to 8 Years

Job Description:

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 support environment (rotational shifts).
• Perform day-to-day administration of RHEL and AIX servers.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies.
• Apply OS patches, firmware updates, and kernel upgrades.
• Provide Level 2 support for escalated issues from Level 1.
• Troubleshoot system performance, disk space, and network connectivity issues.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software fixes.
• Monitor system health using tools like Nagios, IBM NMON, or Red Hat Insights.
• Analyze logs and optimize system performance.
• Ensure backup jobs run successfully and perform restore tests.
• Support disaster recovery drills.
• Develop and maintain scripts in Shell, Python, or Ansible for routine tasks.
• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations and changes.
