Job Description:

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux in a large enterprise environment, with working knowledge of applicable Unix platforms such as AIX or Solaris.
• Expertise in installation, kickstart or automated provisioning, package management, repositories, systemd, kernel, boot process, GRUB, services, processes, users, groups, sudo, SSH, cron, logging, and troubleshooting.
• Advanced knowledge of LVM, file systems, mounts, NFS, multipathing, swap, storage presentation, SAN dependencies, disk expansion, file-system recovery, and capacity management.
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite and Capsule administration, content lifecycle, patch baselines, repository synchronization, host registration, subscription management, and compliance reporting.
• Strong Ansible administration and automation capability, supported by shell scripting and working knowledge of Python or equivalent automation tools.
• Hands-on experience with Linux patching, OS upgrades, rollback planning, vulnerability remediation, security hardening, CIS-aligned controls, access management, and audit readiness.
• Experience with VMware-based Linux workloads, virtual hardware, templates, snapshots, P2V/V2V migrations, cloud migration, and infrastructure refresh activities.
• Expertise in performance analysis and tuning using operating-system tools and evidence across CPU, memory, I/O, network, kernel, process, file system, and application dependencies.
• Experience with Linux high availability or clustering, backup and recovery coordination, disaster recovery, and production availability management.
• Strong ITIL-aligned incident, problem, change, request, configuration, knowledge, release, and major-incident management practices.
