Role Summary:
Responsible for designing Lighting and Vision components for the automotive domain, covering the complete product development lifecycle from concept to manufacturing, including supplier interaction, part testing, and cross-functional collaboration.
What Youll Do:
- Design Lighting and Vision components considering packaging area, material selection, and manufacturability
- Work through all stages of product development lifecycle from concept to manufacturing
- Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams for part development and issue resolution
- Perform part testing (DV & PV), validation of EE components, and ensure vehicle functional objectives
- Apply tolerance, GD&T, and conduct DFMEA
- Lead technical reviews, PPAP, design kick-off, and design approval activities
- Address post-launch issues for Lighting and Vision components
What We re Looking For (Must-Haves):
- Proficiency in Catia V5 and Teamcenter
- Experience in automotive Lighting and Vision system/component design
- Knowledge of connector design, pinouts, PCB, LED, and wiring harness selection criteria
- Experience in sheet metal and plastic design
- Experience with design for manufacturability and assembly
- Competency in technical reviews, part testing, and FMEA
- Experience developing validation plans for EE components
- Ability to interact effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams
Good to Have (Optional - only if mentioned):
- OEM experience
- Homologation compliance experience
Qualifications:
BE/B. Tech (Mechanical / Automotive)
