Role & responsibilities

• Stay updated on all available product offerings, features, options, and potential customizations to provide optimal configurations.
• Assist customers and sales teams in selecting the correct product configurations based on customer requirements, preferences, and specifications.
• Address any configuration-related issues, offering solutions to customers or internal teams as needed.
• Analyze the key features of the existing product and replicate similar products with minimal configuration changes."
• Ensuring messages are properly formatted, routed, and processed between different systems and applications using the MQ.
• Diagnosing and resolving issues related to message delivery, queue backlogs, or system outages.
• Integrating MQ with other systems, applications, and databases to ensure seamless communication and data flow.
• Ensuring that the configurations made via the API meet the required business rules or constraints.
• Configure the API endpoints based on the functions as per business need.
• Develop and implement automation frameworks that are reusable and adaptable for various configurations. This could include creating scripts, tools, or even specialized platforms.
• Ensure that all configurations are properly versioned to allow for rollback, tracking changes, and managing updates.
  
• Integrate the configuration process into CI/CD pipelines, automating deployments to development, staging, or production environments.
• Ensure that all automated configurations adhere to security best practices and comply with industry standards.
• Work closely with sales, engineering, product development, and customer service teams to gather information, ensure accurate configurations, and resolve issues.
• Analyze existing product configurations and recommend improvements for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements in the configuration workflow and collaborate with teams to implement changes.
• Stay updated on product offerings and provide training to internal teams on new configuration options and tools.
• Use product configuration software and systems to input, track, and manage product setups

Preferred candidate profile

• Product Configurator, Product Manager, or in a similar role.
• Experience with leading life insurance or annuity software platforms like FAST, Vitech, OIPA, LifePRO, WmA, ALIP, VPAS,DXC Assure, GIAS or similar systems
• Preferred candidates should have extensive experience with FAST.
• In-depth understanding of product specifications and customization processes.
• Basic knowledge of product development workflows and processes.
• Familiarity with XSLT, XML, and JSON structures.
• Fundamental understanding of SQL and its structure.
• High attention to detail and precision in configuring products and documenting specifications.
• Ability to quickly identify and resolve discrepancies in product configurations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex configuration challenges.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and customer interactions.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to juggle multiple configurations and priorities, while meeting deadlines.
