Job Description Librarian | The Green Acres Academy, Kalyan

Working Days: 5 days a week
Working Hours: 7:45 AM 4:15 PM

Job Purpose: To manage the school library, maintain books and records, and encourage reading habits among students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage book cataloguing, shelving, issuing, returns, and inventory.
• Maintain library records and ensure books are organised and accessible.
• Promote reading through storytelling, reading activities, and book recommendations.
• Coordinate with teachers to support curriculum-related reading resources.
• Maintain a student-friendly, organised, and welcoming library environment.

Educational Qualification: B.Lib. / Diploma in Library Science
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a librarian.
Skills: Good communication, organisational skills, basic computer proficiency, and a passion for children's reading and learning.
