Job Description:

Whiteband AI Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Legal Sub-Editor to join our remote editorial team.

You will play a crucial role in maintaining the editorial quality and accuracy of our legal publications, ensuring they meet the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, edit, and proofread legal manuscripts, articles, case summaries, and law journals for clarity, coherence, and grammatical accuracy.
• Monitor, track, and process local High Court judgments and proceedings, leveraging fluency in the regional language for accurate contextual reporting.
• Verify legal facts, citations, and references to ensure compliance with standard legal formatting and in-house publishing guidelines.
• Collaborate with authors, legal researchers, and the senior editorial team to improve the overall quality and structure of the published content.
• Ensure all published materials meet strict deadlines and are formatted correctly for final publication.

Required Candidate Profile:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven work experience in a law journal, legal publishing house, or a closely related field.
• Education: LLB degree is mandatory. Candidates with an LLM degree will be given high preference.
• Skills: Exceptional command of the English language alongside regional language fluency, expert-level proofreading skills, and an in-depth understanding of legal terminology and citation styles.
