Job Description for Legal Researcher/Law Clerk

About the Role

RB LawCorp is looking for a Legal Researcher/ Law Clerk with strong legal research and analytical skills, preferably having experience working with Government officials, Tribunal/ High Court/ Supreme Court Judges, judicial officers, Government departments or reputed legal institutions.

The role is also suitable for candidates who wish to gain practical exposure to litigation and legal research.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research on Civil, Criminal, GST, IBC, Constitutional and Commercial Laws.
• Research and analyse Tribunal, Supreme Court and High Court judgments, statutes, rules and notifications.
• Prepare case briefs, research notes, written submissions and legal opinions.
• Assist in preparation of Tribunal, High Court and Supreme Court matters, including case-law compilations and hearing briefs.
• Draft and assist with petitions, applications, replies and other legal documents.
• Track important judicial and legislative developments relevant to ongoing matters.

Preferred Profile:

• Prior experience as a Law Researcher / Judicial Researcher / Legal Research Associate / Law Clerk.
• Experience working with Government officials or in a Judge's chamber will be preferred.
• Strong exposure to Tribunal/High Court/Supreme Court matters.
• Strong drafting, research, analytical and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of SCC Online, Manupatra or similar legal databases.
