Legal Officer

Shivtara Grain Milling Pvt. Ltd. is a wheat flour milling group with mills in Hyderabad, Warangal and Vijayawada, and a family milling legacy going back to 1920. We sell through modern trade and wholesale accounts across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Odisha. We are looking for an in-house Legal Officer to work from our head office in Patancheru Industrial Area, Hyderabad, on a part-time basis. Working days and hours will be fixed with the selected candidate.

Role & responsibilities:

• Help recover overdue payments from customers, working with the sales and accounts teams
• Draft and send legal notices, reminders and demand letters; follow up until the matter is settled
• Handle cheque bounce matters (Section 138, NI Act), recovery suits and arbitration, and coordinate with outside advocates and courts
• Review and draft sales, distributor, supplier and service agreements
• Review property, lease and licence documents for our units and new projects
• Check documents before signing and point out legal risks to the Managing Director
• Keep a simple record of all notices, cases and hearing dates and report status regularly

Preferred candidate profile:

• LLB (LLM preferred); enrolled as an advocate is an advantage
• 2 to 6 years of experience in recovery, notices, litigation support and contract drafting
• Good knowledge of the NI Act, Contract Act, Indian Civil Procedure and arbitration
• Clear drafting in English; Telugu is required for customer and court work
• Good follow-up skills and a firm but fair approach with customers
• High integrity and discretion with confidential information
• Able to work part-time from the Patancheru office

Pay: Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 50,000 per month for part-time work, based on experience and hours.
