Legal Manager

Role & responsibilities

1. Drafting of contracts

• Tendering & RFP- Reviewing and advising on RFP documents with government authorities and negotiating all related agreements.
• Franchise business support - Drafting and negotiating term sheets, MOU and Contracts pertaining to franchises and similar kind of business models
• Real Estate - Drafting and negotiating low to medium complexity contracts and term sheets with facility owners for the foregoing aspects of the F&B business.

2. Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, internal policies, and contractual obligations with F&B brands

3. Trade Marks and Copyrights: To support the in house registration process of trademarks of the F&B brands

4. Miscellaneous: To draft contracts on as required basis for miscellaneous transactions of the company.

5. To provide contracting and legal support for new initiatives and special projects of the company

6. To minimize risk and proactively protecting the companys interest and assets

7. Has day to day responsibility for drafting accurate contracts, negotiating them with third parties on his/her own and concluding them in tight deadlines.

8. Providing accurate, effective and timely legal advice, analysis and support on commercial and contractual matters taking into account the commercial environment

9. Drafts and negotiates any relevant agreements and any other relevant legal documents relating to commercial and contractual matters.

10. Co-ordinates with intra departments of the company in respect of commercial and contractual matters where appropriate to ensure that all relevant legal issues are identified and appropriate support is provided

11. Understand tax and regulatory structure of the company and be able to safeguard the company from exposure in the contracts.

12. Assists in the development of best practice with regards to the legal aspects of commercial and contractual matters entrusted.

12. Provides regular reports and updates to line manager and to internal stakeholders, as appropriate

Preferred candidate profile

1. Experienced on various kinds of Service agreements / Contract drafting, Knowledge of legal framework, compliance in F&B industry.

2. Good Communication and Negotiations skills

3. 10 - 12 years of experience in legal department (non litigation).

4. Education: LLB/MLL
