Legal Manager - Non Litigation - LLB

1. Contract Management and Evolution:

Responsible for contract management and evolution of agreements for the benefit of company operations.

2. Coordination:

Coordinate with credit, business group, and advocates for all matters, which includes scrutiny of opinions of the title search report.

3. Implementation:

Implementation of Legal Policy and procedures for Secured Loans (i.e., mortgage loan and Gold loan) Business.

4. Drafting and Vetting:

Drafting and vetting of agreements such as NDA, Service Provider Agreements, Service Level Agreements, etc.

5. Advisory:

Advising on stamping requirements on documents as per legal policy and adherence of standard BT and resale process.

Contract Management:

- Drafting/vetting of agreements in time bound manner as per industry standards and to safeguard company interest from legal angle.

- Maintenance of MIS and reminders for renewals to stakeholders.

- Discussion and Negotiation with counterparts for resolution of bottlenecks.

- Ensure compliance with local, state, and central govt and regulatory reporting requirements.

- Advise on legal and regulatory requirement for new products and assignments to mitigate legal risks.

- Scrutiny of title documents and providing opinion to business and credit team on mortgage loans, construction finance etc.

- Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards.

- Submission of information, replies to the authorities, responding to customer grievances without effecting the interest of the Company and ensure proper closure in a timely manner.

- Analyse the latest judgments of Apex and high courts and advise management on recent legal trends.

Litigation Management:

- Engagement/empanelment of external advocates for representing the company before courts/quasi-judicial authorities.

- Scrutiny of litigation and filing of reply/written statements, advising advocates on line of arguments, explaining the company operation for effective closure of litigation matters and effective follow up for proper representation.

- Review of process of stakeholders and business units.

- Other duties as assigned.

Preferred candidate must have:

- Knowledge of drafting, vetting, negotiating, and interpretation, knowledge of application of law to facts, knowledge of various Central, state and local laws and legal system, knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory regulations in BFSI sector, ability to analyse legal documents and advise management by providing legal opinions, and some exposure to civil/criminal litigation.

- Work requires professional written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.

- LLB with atleast 5 years of experience in practice of law.

- Work requires willingness to work at flexible schedule.

- The Candidate should be computer savvy and should have excellent communication skills.
