Legal Intern

Ebixcash World Money Limited is inviting applications from motivated law students for a Legal Internship with the Legal & Compliance function. The internship offers an opportunity to work closely with experienced Legal and Compliance professionals and gain practical exposure to the legal and regulatory framework applicable to a regulated foreign exchange and financial-services business.

This role is particularly suitable for students interested in Banking & Finance Law, Corporate Law, Regulatory Compliance, FEMA, AML/KYC and Financial Services Regulation.

Role & responsibilities

The intern will assist the Legal & Compliance team with:

• Legal & Regulatory Research - RBI, FEMA, PMLA, AML/KYC and related regulations.
• Regulatory Monitoring - Tracking RBI circulars, notifications and regulatory developments.
• Contract Review - Assisting in review of commercial, vendor, franchisee and business-partner agreements.
• Compliance Support - KYC, AML/CFT, sanctions screening and customer due diligence.
• Policy & SOP Drafting - Assisting in preparation and review of internal policies, SOPs, checklists and compliance notes.
• Regulatory Matters - Supporting preparation of regulatory submissions, responses and supporting documentation.
• Legal MIS & Documentation - Maintaining trackers, legal records and compliance documentation.
• Corporate & Governance Matters - Supporting the Legal team on corporate and governance-related documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

• Law students currently in their nal year pursuing 3-year or 5-year LL.B., of a 5-year integrated law program
• Strong interest in Banking & Finance, Corporate Law or Regulatory Compliance.
• Good legal research, analytical and drafting skills.
• Basic understanding of contracts and statutory/regulatory provisions.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• High attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work professionally with multiple teams.
