Role & responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Executive to manage legal due diligence, property documentation, statutory compliance, and coordination with government authorities and financial institutions. The ideal candidate should possess sound knowledge of property laws, real estate regulations, and legal documentation, with the ability to support land acquisition, project approvals, and legal risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal due diligence and title verification for land and property documents, ensuring clear and marketable title.
- Draft, review, and vet sale deeds, lease deeds, mortgage deeds, MoUs, agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.
- Support land acquisition activities by verifying ownership documents and identifying legal risks.
- Ensure compliance with RERA, the Registration Act, the Stamp Act, the Transfer of Property Act, and other applicable laws.
- Liaise with Sub-Registrar Offices, Revenue Departments, statutory authorities, advocates, and government agencies for registrations, approvals, and legal documentation.
- Coordinate Approved Project Financing (APF) documentation with banks and financial institutions.
- Provide legal support to internal teams including Sales, Projects, Land Acquisition, Credit, and Operations.
- Maintain accurate physical and digital legal records to support audits and regulatory requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate legal risks associated with property transactions and project approvals.
- Coordinate with external advocates, valuers, and consultants to resolve title and documentation issues.
- Assist in litigation coordination by working with external counsel and government departments on legal matters.
- Draft legal notices, pleadings, applications, legal opinions, and conduct legal research and citation searches.
Preferred candidate profile
Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university.
Enrollment with the Bar Council will be an added advantage.
