Legal Associate

• We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented
• Legal Associate to join our legal team in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
• The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of experience in understanding land/property related matters and laws, possess government / bar council registration / license to issue title clear certificates/legal opinion reports.
• Role involves close collaboration with Banks, NBFCs, and FIs to ensure that legal reports for land/property mortgaged by loan applicants are complete in all manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare title opinion / title certificate reports after conducting comprehensive land records investigation and title searches to verify the legal status of mortgaged land/properties along with ownership chain for the specified years.
• Review and validate system generated Legal Opinion/Title Clear Reports for quality assurance.
• Collaborate with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders to gather necessary documentation and information and provide support on any queries raised by them.
• Help build a legal in-house team for ensuring quality assurance on other reports that are provided to our BFSI clients.
• Stay updated on State specific property laws, land registration procedures, and real estate regulations in Gujarat as well as other States of India.
• Enrolment with the State or National Bar Council and a valid license to practice law with a valid Digital Signature.
• 1-2 years of experience in land/property law, title searches, legal opinions and title certifications.
• Proven experience of working with Banks, NBFCs, and Financial Institutions as an empaneled Lawyer will have a definitive advantage.
• Basic understanding and knowledge of property laws, land registration procedures, and real estate transaction with proficiency in legal research, drafting, and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in Gujarati and English, both written and verbal.
